The sixt Orthetrum, Slender Skimmer

The sixt species of Orthetrum and the one species that I still owe you is Orthetrum sabina. This species is so common that we have come to an agreement. We will happily greet the first one of the day and thereafter we will ignore them. If you mention the second one, there is no reason not to mention the third, and so on. But quite soon it will really become a drag, as it is always around in almost any habitat, including down town Hanoi, although not as tolerant, apparently, as Brachythemis contaminata. Here are a couple of pics of what is in essence a real nice dragonfly.

Another male. It really is a nice species, and extremely common at that.
